Garden plots measuring 20 ft. by 20 ft. will be laid out and available for planting by approximately mid May, depending upon weather. Space is available on a first time, first serve basis. The plots will have an organic fertilizer applied in the spring and initial tillage done for seedbed preparation. Once the seed bed id prepared in May, tillage or week control is the gardener's responsibility. Irrigation will be provided and applied by CLC Ag Center staff through a drip irrigation system. Any questions concerning the irrigation system, please direct them to Hannah Barrett, CLC Ag Center Research Coordinator via email email@example.com or phone 320-305-4376. Gardens will need to be maintained throughout the summer and all garden equipment will need to be removed by mid-October in preparation for fall tillage. For registration and more information, call 218-894-2497. This is a cooperative project between CLC and Ag Center, ISD 2170, City of Staples, Staples-Motley Area Community Foundation and Staples Host Lions. After renting plot online, call or see Community Ed for plot location.
